Brewer

The most qualified candidate will become part of the Weyerbacher Brewing team and will report directly to the Brewmaster. Brewers participate in all facets of brewhouse and cellar operations and including but not limited to wort production, clarification, yeast management, record keeping and fermentation management.

Job Requirements

  • Completion of brewing-science program or other brewing education
  • Experience in a production brewery or brewpub a plus
  • Flexible work schedule: day, night and weekend shifts

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform wort production of 20+ styles of beer on a 40 barrel JVNW brewhouse
  • Beer clarification: centrifuge operation
  • Cellar duties including CIP, yeast handling, dry hopping and monitoring fermentations
  • Strong communication, planning and organizational skills
  • Maintain paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
  • Perform quality control and quality assurance testing
  • Actively find improvements for the beer and our processes
  • Must be willing to pitch in on tasks outside your key responsibilities

Abilities and Skills

  • Must be able to lift 55 lbs. regularly and move 165 lbs. occasionally
  • Must be able to stand for 8 – 10 hours per day
  • Must be competent with MS Office, Google Docs
  • Must be able to operate a forklift (training provided)
  • Must be able to enjoy making great beer

Packaging Team Member

The most qualified candidate will become part of the Weyerbacher Brewing team and will report directly to the Packaging Lead. The team member will participate in all facets of packaging operations and including but not limited to bottling, kegging and canning.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work on the bottling line including bottle depalletizer, rinser, filler, labeler and packing machines
  • Work on kegging machine
  • Help with mobile canning operations
  • Glue and stack boxes at a high rate of speed
  • Perform equipment cleaning (CIP) and maintenance
  • Strong communication, planning and organizational skills
  • Maintain paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
  • Perform quality control and quality assurance testing as necessary
  • Actively find improvements for the beer and our processes
  • Must be willing to pitch in on tasks outside your key responsibilities

Abilities and Skills

  • Degree in Fermentation Science or completion of brewing-science program a plus
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Flexible work schedule: day, night and weekend shifts
  • Ability to multitask and manage time while being detail oriented
  • Must be able to move 165 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for 8 – 10 hours per day
  • Must be competent with MS Office, Google Docs
  • Must be able to operate a forklift (training provided)
  • Must be able to enjoy making great beer

Brand Ambassador

Weyerbacher Brewing is seeking regional Craft Beer Ambassadors to expand our brand awareness in key regions, in and around, the Lehigh Valley, Philadelphia and Delaware region. We are looking for people to sample our beers at tastings, festivals, brewery parties and more.

The Position
Successful candidates will travel throughout respective regions including but not limited to Northampton County, Lehigh County, Bucks County, Montgomery County, Philadelphia County, working with distributors, bottle shops, grocery stores and regional festivals, communicating the good word of Weyerbacher Brewery and our portfolio of products.

Essentials

  • Amazing customer relations
  • Knowledge in craft beer
  • Experience in nurturing brands, relationships and building awareness in markets
  • Willingness to travel to grow the market and portfolio
  • Knowledge of Weyerbacher history, basic brewing process
  • Ensuring that all beverage products are consistently prepared and served according to the brewery’s serving standards.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach and walk constantly for long periods of time – up to 7 hours.
  • Ability to lift, carry and maneuver cases of beer weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Representative of Weyerbacher brand – be approachable and professional.
  • Night & weekend availability
